On the eve of the international day of Circassians, a meeting of the Council of the International Circassian Association was held in Nalchik. It was attended by representatives of public organizations-members of the mcha from the republics of Kabardino-Balkaria, Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, Europe, Abkhazia, as well as via videoconference — Turkey, Jordan, Israel.

The event's status was upgraded by the participation of the Head of Administration KBR — the Head of Administration of Head KBR Kozakova Muhammad Martynovich, head of the domestic policy Karaeva Artem Hamisevicz, acting Minister for cooperation with civil society institutions and nationalities Kurachinova KBR Anzor Vladimirovich, adviser of the Department of the Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the North Caucasian Federal district Gudova Zalim F., etc.

The meeting was opened by the President of the MCA H. Sohrokov. He noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic, changes were made to the MFA's action plan, and a number of events had to be moved online. But despite the restrictions imposed, we can say that the activity of the MFA continued in an active mode. "In connection with the outbreak of coronavirus infection and the self-isolation of the Republic's residents, we have joined charity events. We provided all possible assistance to compatriots who moved from abroad to Kabardino-Balkaria, Diaspora students studying in educational institutions of the Republic, " the speaker noted. The speech was accompanied by video materials. They also discussed the organization of distance learning of compatriots living abroad in their native and Russian languages; training of young people of compatriots living abroad in Russian universities. An equally important topic of the meeting was the implementation of the state program of the CBD "assistance to the voluntary relocation of compatriots living abroad to the CBD". In addition, we reviewed the action plan for the celebration of the day of Adygs (Circassians), which is celebrated for the sixth time on September 20. Many events will be held in all regions of Russia and foreign countries where Adygs (Circassians) live compactly.








The President of the ICA Kh. Sohrokov presented a group of Adyghe scientists, teachers, and public figures with certificates of honor, medals, and valuable gifts from the mcha on the occasion of the day of the Adygs (Circassians).

The meeting participants visited the national Museum of the CBD. Several exhibitions were presented to the guests, and the Museum staff conducted a fascinating tour of them. General Director of the Museum Felix Nakov introduced the guests to the exhibition dedicated to the International day of Adygs (Circassians), declaring it open to visitors. The guests were particularly interested in the story of Felix Nakov about the features of Circassian bladed weapons and the demonstration of bladed weapons technique.
